How did you get to where you are today?
I was introduced to healthcare by my loving mother. Her devotion to helping others through acts of service and as a health care professional, motivated me to work my way up as a dedicated clinician. I started as a dialysis technician then became a respiratory therapist , moved on to becoming a registered nurse, and now a dedicated nurse practitioner. The various roles I have held within healthcare has prepared me for where I am today. My practice is focused on patient ccntered visits that are designed to assess your health concerns and develop and individualized care plan that provides an oppurtunity to ask questions, receive education about your condition, and explore treatment options.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worthwhile comes easy. The hardest step is taking that first leap of faith, and all the hurdles that come with it. Once you jump that final hurdle, prepare for more to come your way. The Premier NP is a self built, self-run business in which healthcare is provided to our growing community. The biggest struggle was deciding to start it. Once I made tht decision, nothing seemed impossible. My goal is to provide efficient affordable healthcare services that meet the needs of each individual client.
If you had to return and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had the opportunity to start over, I would definitely do things differently. I would have become an MD. My biggest regret wass doubting that I was capable of becoming one. However, I truly believe that God places us where we are supposed to be. I, now see that I was, and am capable of many great things! And as an NP , I have learned that all patients deserve compassionate care in thr form of listening, understanding, and assisting.
